Children's songs come in many varieties, where children learn about sound and rhythm through play. With children's songs, movements are fun and good for motor stimulation and development. Grab your guitar and play along with the most fun and popular children's songs.

The oldest guitar songs, such as Mijn tante in Marokko, Berend Botje and Altijd is kortjakje ziek, still work very well with children. These songs sit well in the ear and children pick up the chorus quickly. Children's songs are also often easy to accompany on guitar because they typically use simple chords and easy guitar transitions.

You can find children's songs with chords or children's songs with tabs, so without chords. The latter category is very simple to play along with. These often focus on the melody line. All children's songs come with song lyrics so you can easily sing along and accompany yourself on guitar. It's also good to introduce music to children (but also older people or those with dementia) at a young age. This can be done through a musical instrument (piano, keyboard, recorder and/or guitar) or singing. In the past, recorder lessons were a must for many young people starting out. Nowadays, young people often have the choice of different instruments.

Playing together with a guitar or another instrument and singing along connects people and is good for language development.
